Muay Thai

Muay Thai is 'THE ART OF EIGHT LIMBS' (Shin, Knees, hand and elbow). Muay Thai has a history of more than 2000 years... and till now is still the most aggressive, hardest and ruthless martial art. Muay Thai have been made popular by the late Thai King Chulalongkorn in the 19th century and the most famous fighter is the Thai prisoner known as Nai Khanom To captured by the Burmese in 1744, Nai Khanom defeated 9 Burmese champion one after another. After the fight he was granted freedom back to Thailand. Until now the Thai is still celebrating 17 march every year as the 'National MuayThai Day'.
Some of the technique of Muay Thai:

Punching (Chok)
Jab, right/left straight cross, hook punch, uppercut, overhand punch and more...

Elbow Strike (Sok)
Horizontal, Diagonal upwards/downwards strike, front trust and the most deadly spinning back elbow... But for elbow techniques will only be effective at short or close range.

Kicking (Tae)
The most common kicks in Muay Thai are known as foot jab(Teep)and roundhouse kick or Thai kick(Teh). Muay Thai is very famous for their conditioning of the shin bone by kicking the banana tree, but at the modern days, the way we condition the shin is by kicking the Thai Mit or the Sand Bag.

Knee strike (Kao)
Straight Knee Strike (Kao Tone), Knee Bomb (Kao Youwn), Knee Slap (Kao Top)and a lot more... In term of force, power, damage and chest depression, the Muay Thai Knee Strike inflicted the most out of all of the other techniques.

Professional Muay Thai Fighters is really good at using all the eight limbs and also defense and grappling at the same time.

* K-1 Legend Buakaw Por. Pramuk *

He has a total of 222 fight and win 189 fights, draw 12 loss 21 fights only.
Buakaw started his training since he is 8 and started his first fight at the age of 15. He is the Feather and Light Weight title belt holder at Omnoi Stadium. At 2004 he move his career to Japan, K-1 tournament, he dominate all the Japan fighters and the becoming the first person to won the K-1 tournament champion twice(2004 & 2006).


* The Contender Asia Winner Yodsanklai Fairtex *

He has a record of 237 fights and won 167 fight, draw 4 and loss 66 fights.
Yodsanklai started his first fight at age of 8 and he is the 3 time Lumpinee Stadium Champion and also The Contender Asia Champion. He is famouse for his powerful kicking and perfect punching combination.

* Seanchai Sor. Kingstar *

Height of 165 and weight 56kg but no doubt he is the best fighter in Thailand now, with his lighting reflexes and incredible skill Seachai rarely get the opportunity to fight without having to give his opponent a weight advantage. He started his fight at the age of 8 and his record of 275 total fight and he won 221 fights, draw 2 and loss 52 fights.
